Who will be Penn State football's defensive MVP?: Penn State question of the day

The Nittany Lions open camp on Monday and Bill O'Brien spoke Thursday about what he likes with his defense.

We've looked at and given you a chance to project who you think the team's offensive MVP will be so now it's time for the defense.

The team lacks depth at linebacker but Mike Hull will finally step into a full-time starting role. The player whose workout numbers have soared through the roof as one of the team's strongest athletes could also be one of the defense's brightest stars.

There's also senior defensive tackle DaQuan Jones who will no longer have former Nittany Lion Jordan Hill to help him out. At 6-foot-3 and 318 lbs., the Lions are waiting for Jones to become the next interior force, much like Hill and Devon Still were before him.

Penn State's secondary will feature a few young defensive backs but there's also the versatile Adrian Amos who can play safety, corner and perhaps receive some looks at linebacker. Amos is one of the Lions' top projected players to excel in the NFL and if you're trying to see just how productive he is, notice how often quarterbacks shy throwing near his area.

Defensive end Deion Barnes took home the honor as the Big Ten's Freshman of the Year last season and can expect to face a lot of double teams this season. He led the team with six sacks last year but how his teammates step up alongside him will better project just how effective he will be despite receiving extra attention.

Plenty of talent to choose from on the defense, so which player do you think will be the team's defensive MVP?
